I'm on Ubuntu 15.10 with a Gnome environment. Basic operations on my touchpad work (like tap-clicks, dragging, etc.) but touchpad features like right-clicking, 2-finger scrolling, zooming, etc. do not. (also palm detection doesn't seem to work and it can drive a person crazy).
The laptop is Asus ROG GL552 with a (probably) synaptics touchpad.
All settings > mouse & touchpad doesn't seem to recognize the touchpad and shows the mouse.
Here is the output of 'xinput list'
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ ELAN1000:00 04F3:0401 id=11 [slave pointer (2)]

And here is the relevant output of cat /proc/bus/input/devices

I tried this link: Touchpad not recognized on Asus N550JK - TP500L (FocalTech)
Which seems is outdated because the focaltech-dkms package is no longer available.
Would appreciate any help with the matter :D
Thank you for your time.
Bonus question: Keyboard lighting doesn't seem to work here either. How can I get the lighting to work? Where can I check if it's enabled/disabled?
Thanks a lot!
