Is it possible to live-migrate VMs locally (on the same host)?

So what I want to do is, I have 2 guest Ubuntu 15.04s running on KVM on top of a Ubuntu 15.04 server. I'm trying to live migrate one of the VMs to the other VM such that there is no loss of uptime. I don't know if you can call this a migration, but any hints on how to accomplish this will be greatly appreciated. The 2 VMs are independently running on different CPU cores, i.e. I have manually pinned them to different cores. Whatever stuff I have read about live-migration is always between 2 different hosts.

Also the Host server is a dual socket Xeon server with 8 cores per socket and 2 logical cores per 1 physical core.
