NVIDIA Drive install on ubuntu via tty

I want to install a(n) NVIDIA Driver on my pc, but when i do it from terminal (Its a .run file) its always say that i run an X server or what, and when i include --no-x-check at the start, it dont say the X thing, but after i accepted the licence, its now saying that i use a ,,Nouveau" kernel driver, and i have to disable it. i tried disable lightdm in tty (sudo stop lightdm) _but its give me an error:
stop:unable to connect to upstart: unable to connect to socket....... and if i could stop lightdm, i think it will still say that Nouveau thing.
