# TexMaker biber stuck compiling at Processed Started

I'm trying to include a bibliography with biblatex and biber. I read a lot of related questions and answers here but I could not find the solution at my problem.

When I run Biber the compilation stuck forever at "Processed Started".

What I did/tried: I change correctly the preferences of TexMaker (both using "biber %" and the full path to biber.exe". I run pdflatex before. I wait a quarter of hour. I tried to run biber from the command line, no luck. I tried to uninstall and reinstall both miktex and texmaker, no luck. I deleted the temp files. I can see the biber.exe process in the Task Manager (always 0% of cpu usage). I tried both with my code and with this simple example:

\documentclass{article} \usepackage{filecontents} \begin{filecontents*}{\jobname.bib} @ARTICLE{example,   author  = {Other, Anthony Norman},   title   = {Some things I did},   year    = {2014},   journal = {J.~Irrep. Res.},   volume  = {1},   number  = {1},   pages   = {1-10} } \end{filecontents*} \usepackage[backend=biber]{biblatex} \addbibresource{\jobname.bib} \begin{document} Hello\cite{example}. \printbibliography \end{document}

What can I do?
