Ubuntu 16.04 Startup Clean up problem

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 16.04, and now whenever I start the computer, I get the following error message:

/dev/sda1:clean, 347631/15138816 files, 4575578/60527360 blocks

That stays on the screen for awhile, and then this gets added to it:

[ 18.497795]dell_smm_hwmon:unable to get SMM Dell signature

Then, the computer simply boots to sign in screen like normal. My guess is that my computer is somehow not giving permission to clean up files in the system or something, but I have no idea how or why. Seems like its a clean up scan that keeps getting stopped and cancelled at start up. I was going to just leave it alone since I am afraid I might mess up the system if I tried fixing it while uninformed, but it pops up everytime at startup. It would be great if I could figure out how to make the scan finish, thanks.
